:clapping: A big Thank You goes out to all of the forum's members who have posted your experiences and findings in how to use (things that are not always printed and driving home some that are!!!) the Explorer XS........ I've read hundreds of posts and replys and you have not steered me wrong!! I finally decided the other day that I was going to run wide open (Iron Mask -16) and Ferrous sounds instead of conductive!!! After about 3 hrs and 2 trips to an old farmstead I started getting used to the constant low hum of the explorer as well as the occasional high tone of a good target!! On my second trip there I got a good signal but it remember it reading down off the top just a bit and to the right probably 3/4 over, kinda reminded me of an Indian Head penny, well it ended up being a well worn creased down the middle, Morgan Dollar!! There was no readable date on it though........I just wanted to say thanks to you guys for helping me, the learning curve was a little tougher than I thought it would be and I'm still not there yet, but it is making sense to me!!!!!!!! Way to go, it's always nice when a good find turns up. The more you use the Explorer, the more your confidence will be in its ability. People who metal detect are the best folks around, always willing to help out.
