xp deus

Anyone had a chance to compare the xp deus to the etrac. The deus seems to have a lot of great features. I've also heard it is great in iron.

Both units have their strengths and weaknesses. These 2 units compliment each other very well. The Deus is a really fun unit and the fast recovery, light weight and wireless features make it a keeper. Lots of options on the unit, as well as very well thought out preset programs make it very easy to use right out of the gate

The E-Trac is deeper and will pull out deep silver and copper better than the Deus ( from my experience). More coil options for the E-Trac too ( Deus only has 3). Deus coils are VERY expensive. I only have the stock 9 inch and don't think I will get another coil for awhile.

The E-Trac is much smoother and works better in wet, salt sand.

So other than both of them not being waterproof, if you mostly land hunt and wet sand hunt, these 2 units may be the only 2 you will need. The only better combo would be a CTX3030 (or CZ21 or Excal for having a waterproof VLF) and a Deus
( I have a CTX303, hence me on the fence selling the E-Trac. The E-Trac is a really good unit)
