Hi All Powerawlker here from N'Ireland
as any of you guys heard anything regarding the sale of the Deus on you re side of the pond
some of the forums at home are saying you can now buy direct from Xp at a far better price than you can in the UK and if you can good luck to you
i bought my excal11 through a Friend from this forum and saved a good amount
thanks for looking Pete

Last I heard, the XP Deus can't pass FCC specs for use over here. I have checked into it a lot and even though is has neat concepts, don't know if it is a real improvement. (Be great to hear from people who have had a hands on with this cool machine.) It truly is good to see design concepts pushing the envelope like this box obviously does as It can only make all our future equipment better!

So far XP can't keep up with demand in Europe, so I don't think they worry to much about the US market. As long as you sell something faster than you can make it, expanding the market isn't really something to look into.

Out of curiosity I went and looked up this detector...you boys are right, this is freakin' cool! If I were a stateside manufacturer, Id have my R&D folks working overtime to get something like this to market.

i was using mu deus today and nothing beats it . the display is very usefull and its light as a feather .
likes silver for sure.

no cables getting in the way ,no bungee needed for a top heavy machine ,no lunchbox on the back ,state of the art machine in every way .
collapses down into a small bag .

xp had to build a new factory to cope with demand and they are not cheap at 1300 pounds ,but well worth it

it has a few patents on it ,so may not be easy to copy

I just ordered a Xp Deus, i cant wait it to arrive. I will make some test videos with the machine as soon as possible.:hot:

Nothing better than to have a "stylish" detector to go with cut-off Levi's, faded T-shirt, and well worn and comfy sneakers. Have to admit it looks cool.

dont forget the XP users forum ..good info available . XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

this machine is certainly a very state of the art design .
no wires dangling anywhere !! you can use the control box or headphones on their own ,both work on their own ,..
a larger coil is now available if you want it.
its years ahead of the competition !
infallible on hammered silver coins

The XP Power is not legal in the States as even if you don't use the radio headphones so there may well be problems with the Deus.
XP were not the first with radio headphones or a wireless coil design that was Richard Dodds 20- 25 years back.

If you think adding go faster stripes and alloy wheels to your car makes it go faster then the Deus might suit. Otherwise consider wet sand performance, or lack of it and performance on badly mineralised sites. I stuck with it for three months and the weight does make it an excellent rally machine but on pasture there's many U.S. designs that are far cheaper and deeper. If you search the U.S. forums there's been a couple imported as the second coming but little heard afterwards.

There's a balanced review on garysdetecting.co.uk If you get the chance to try one do. Having wires to coil or headphones doesn't worry me but performance does.

i did a in air test of my 4 machines on a 925 silver half crown .
they all have big coils except the Deus has the standard coil.the surf duel field has 12 inch coil and is reputed to be a very deep PI machine .the delta has the bigger coil and the silver umax has the SEF 12x10 coil.
the Deus spanked them all by a very big margin on the silver coin when in relic mode and G maxx mode.
i was surprised that the whites wasnt the best in the test as its a very deep PI machine .
in fact it spanked them all by such a large amount i was amazed .

If we hunted coins in the air, your tests would carry some weight but in-ground tests in our own soil is the only way to compare detectors for our own use. (Results may vary.......... greatly)

thats fare comment ,i will repeat the test with a large silver 925 coin and a 999 silver ingot buried in the ground and see what the results are .and a 22 carat ring in the ground as well and see what happens with my 4 machines.
your soil may vary than mine

DEUS will be here in the USA legally in a week or two - have one on order...

What made you order a Xp Deus, ain't E-trac good enough..:poke:

The Deuses that have been sold in the US since last year are FCC compliant; nothing illegal about them. They were modified prior to shipment. I have one and I know of four other Deus owners in the US. I've probably read most of their posts on both the US and UK forums regarding the machine. Haven't heard anything about a "second coming" but I have read a lot of positive comments about the Deus. It's just a good, versatile, machine that - thanks to interchangeable frequencies and other features - does a lot of things well and does them at about the same weight as a Tesoro Compadre. Depth is about equal to what I get from my CZ, and recovery speed and target separating ability may be the best in the business. The reason why you don

The Whites Dual Field PI has it's sensitivity's tuned in to respond better to gold jewelry, & low conductive targets. Because of this, one should notice a tad less sensitivity toward silver. Of course this is in a air test or in very mild ground. In bad ground, the Dual Field has it hands down. Just because it's pulse induction circuitry, doesn't automatically make it deeper in a air test. The difference for a PI comes using it in bad ground, or salt water.

I swung this machine in England, and went right back to my Tesoro Vaquero. Lot's of Hype - period. It is just another toy for boys with everything else. My two-cents.

Hi Rich you cant make a judgement on a few swings or even a few hours the Deus takes many many hours to begin to make a realistic judgement.

I have used many of the best machines over the years and would place the Deus in the top 3 that I have owned.

The Tesoro Cowboy was just run of the mill machine as far as I was concerned having purchased one of the first in the UK some number of years past.

With the Monsieur Deus we are really looking at a big step forward in the manufacturer of metal detectors.

Just a pity that it took the French to show us the way.

I bet it will not be to long before Mr Minelab plays catch up.

Jerry.
