XP Deus with US coins and E-Trac comparison

Here is the newest vid I have on the XP Deus. I lined up some US Coins and I also set up the Deus and the E-trac in the basic factory settings and compared a 7 inch target. Again this target was one at factory settings. Once I get more experience with the Deus I will go full powered head to head. Needless to say, I was surprised at the result... I also showed how fast the Deus will hit coins on the Deus Fast setting..lol it was quick to say the least..Well hope this interests you... Evan

It looked like you had a much larger coil on the Etrac than on the Deus. A smaller coil is always going to have better target separation than a larger one. For example if you put a 6 inch coil on one Etrac and left the stock coil on a 2nd Etrac then the 1st Etrac would beat the 2nd one in a zone with a lot of discriminated out targets.

It would have been a much more interesting comparison if both machines had the same size coils on them, though there is no doubt that the Deus is a much faster machine than the Etrac. I have always found that the FBS machines were either the slowest or among the slowest of the high end machines. The strengths of the explorers and Etrac are not their recovery speed but target ID and depth in mineralized soils or at the beach.

Another really interesting test would be to test the Deus recovery speed against a machine that has a very fast recovery speed such as a T2SE which can also blow the Minelab FBS machines out of the water when it comes to recovery speed.
