XP deus water hunting

How durable is the transmitter cable? It looks so thin that I'd be worried about it getting caught on something and breaking.

Does the cable have to be attached to the remote or headphones or can it be some distance away. I read someone said that they used part of a fishing pole to raise it out of the water but they did not specify if you had to put the end of the cable right next to the remote or headphones. Thank for you time.

I attached the cable to the waterproof case. So I can’t say for sure.

I have mine set up with a part of the fishing pole as the antenna ( cable to the top of the fishing pole), and the remote in the water tight bag around my neck. With the use of the low freq. 9 inch coil, running it at 17 khz, It works great, with the signal coming thru loud and clear.
