Big Boys Hobbies

Well-known member
I am proud to announce Big Boys Hobbies now carries the XP Deus Metal Detector

Feel free to contact me with questions!

Looks like a sweet set-up !

But I don't think I could get that much $$$ for one of my kids ...

If one had a problem. Who repairs them, and where are the repair facilities located ??

Thanks appreciate your response......... Nice looking machine for sure ........... Remote Electronics Operation seems awesome.

could be "'cost prohibitive" in this economy.
also, no real evidence that it is better than ANY top of the line
detector available here at "lower money"

(h.h.!)
j.t.

Nice that you are carrying them Bart.

I almost got one as they are so light and I go to sites via a bike so it would be convenient and the E-Trac just bugs my back. But the depth isn't as deep as the E-Tracs and it loses ID at depth.

That said, the Deus is imo a replacement for the F75, T2's, etc. It is very very fast from everything I have read. They love them here in Europe. Real advantages to having access to different frequencies and they really let you play with the settings but at no harm to the user - very nice I have heard.

They now have. Repair facility here in the US. They also come with a 2year warranty.

So far I am seeing at least equal depth of the Minelabs. Very good target I'd. Weight is simply amazing. Ability to beach or water hunt with this is gonna be good. Just put the remote in a bag. I am impressed!

there are few complaints on the XP forum about poor equipment and needing repairs .
the stem was sorted and the coil battery is no longer a problem as theres a repair kit .
i have had mine for 2 years and no complaints at all .you get updates on the software via the XP website to the control unit .
they are constantly looking for improvements to add.
other batteries can be replaced if you choose to do so yourself.
but so far mine are good .
all in all a delight to use .no cables to bug you when digging .

Mine arrives tomorrow. They will be repaired here in the US. Free lifetime updates via usb port. Multiple xp detectors in one using the 4 different freq. More info later.

wow $1900 bucks, sure is steep but looks way cool like the star ship enterprise, beam me up scotty lol

I looked in to the XP Deus before, I did not know if I could trust that detector or not if it was a fly by night brand. But now it sounds like a legitimate detector. Wow, sure compact and lightweight.!!

I am sure its a nice rig....but the mfg wants too much money for what it delivers. They should lower the price...sell larger quantities that way. Make more money in long run. Bart, hope carrying the line is successful for you. Perhaps you could mention to them that the high price may be inhibiting U.S. sales. It won't outperform a E-Trac @ 1500.00. Also, to be brutally honest, the miniturization/cool looking factor does not find coins, the overall performance does. So it needs to best a Trac to justify the higher than E-Trac price. Just common sense.

I saw no" experts " on any youtube video testing these detectors. I hunt iron infested colonial sites and the Deus excells at this type of hunting. My Etrac did great in my hunting conditions. My T2 SE in boost process did better. So its my dime and tme to see if The Deus will find stuff the T2 missed. Will find out this weekend. Stay tuned.

I agree Terra. So far from initial tests in my planted coins it just might give a run for the E-Trac. In iron it seems to work very very well.

You can adjust just about everything on this machine. I am very impressed so far. Plan to use it in real world conditions this weekend. Time will tell.

Hopefully I an get a video out about it!

Darn Bart a day late and a dollar short

I'm sure that he will sell many. Good luck Bart.

I would find it very hard to compare it to any detector.

Bart you really put your nose to the grind stone:biggrin:
Becoming a Deus dealer congrats .

When you have a minute , see if you can get some of those big coils that nobody can talk about.:argue:

It is in the works..........
