XP Deus getting it done

Back out with my favorite md partner the wife and her Fisher Gold Bug.
Me and the Deus - day 210 still no gold under the coil. Wife has 3 gold rings this season, so I have to say it --"She's #1"

I'm still using the 'bottlecaps' program.

Today, I thought I was digging another copper cent. When out pops a weird token. Pic included.
Looked it up, its some type of weights and measure coin/token for pharmaceuticals.

Also, in the volley ball court about 3" deep, with an iffy signal, I dig up a nice sterling silver bracelet. it made my day.
I guess the ball hit the lock at just the right moment - unlocked and fell to the ground.

Season is coming to an end here in the Pacific Northwest, so I will post a few pics of our finds this year.
Some good some not so much, but we are building a little treasure chest of our own.

I hope to see more posts of your great finds and even if not so great.

Hello fellow north westerner! I'm a puyallup native! I've heard great things with the deus! And from the looks of it,it's treating you well!!! Really cool to see other detectorists from my neck of the woods on this site! H/H and I'm sure gold will strike for you soon!

Hey Flanagan Greetings!!

Cold season coming!! Better get out there while we still can eh?

I used to swing a Minelab Explorer Pro, now when I pick it up it feels like a tank.
I have taken both machines out at times but always bring the Ex back to the car.
I do miss the sun ray probe, it's good to have discrimination on the pin pointer.

I'm running AT pro and have been for last yr or so. Really wanting to pick up something else. Sold my whites and kinda miss dual detectors! Reading a lot of the forum and having a hard time making a decision over M.LAB or deus? I'm sure either way I'd b pleased.

No gold for you either, eh?

I have found almost 400 Wheats, a good amount of silver coins and jewelry, pounds of clad, a 5-gallon bucket full of aluminum whatsits, and about 20 pounds of copper and brass items....BUT STILL NO GOLD :sadwalk:

Have been using the Deus since last Christmas and glad to know I'm not the only one!!!!

Glad to see some other PNWester's having fun hunting! Looked like a good hunt to me! My season's not over until the ground freeze though. I go out rain or shine, and after how hard our ground got this summer, some rain will be welcomed to soften up the concrete like earth here.. I'm in the Portland area. Using a CTX, found 1 gold ring LAST year the 1st month I got the machine but none this year or since then lol. Nice thing about fall/winter hunting, the brush thins back making it easier to hunt wooded or brushier areas. HH & GL

Hey CZ,
Thanks to one of your posts is how I learned about "Coops" program for ignoring bottle caps- been using it ever since.
I know the XP Deus has more unlocked potential but this is working for me so far, so im sticking with it.
You silver count is impressive, keep it up and HH.

Flannagan, for my 2cents- I would recommend the XP Deus, besides its capabilities its light weight makes for longer hunts, battery charge last for ever.

The two of you have had a good year so far. I bought a Deus for the wife, she prefers the AT Pro. I use it sometimes and I'm still stuck on the bottle cap program also.
