XP Deus 11x13 inch coil performance

[bCan anyone who has the 11x13 inch coil tell me and others if this coil is worth having? Does it go deeper than the 11 inch?[/b]

imo the 9 and 11 are good enough. I had the 13 and sold it might buy another but I might not because not really a big difference between the 11 and 13 .just my 2 cents.

Man i just bought one, on way to work now but will let u know asap. Maybe its not that much deeper than the 11" on everthing but right now will beat the 11" in ground coverage. A lot of guys across pond use them so has to be a reason.

Had it and it was heavy.. depth didn't get deeper then my 11 inch. I sold it in a month.

It just felt weird to me

I started hunting with the 13 inch coil and did well with it - moved to the 11" round coil and seemed to get slightly deeper with it. Now I use the 9" coil and get 95% the depth of the 11" round coil.

Only place I would consider using the 13" coil is if I lived at a beach for ground coverage reasons. But if you already have the 11" round coil, then "No" would be my answer to the OP's question

X2^^

It seems no one can determine for sure if the 11x13 is deeper than the 11 inch. hhhhhmmmmmmmmmm! What is your input Gary?[/b]

Ok CoinHawker,
I'll chime in with a bit better comment. IMO
I've owned the 11x13. don't any more.
It was not for me and my type of hunting.
The 11x13 is still an 11 inch coil with 13 inches of coverage.
I found it to be unbalanced and very little if any better depth. (didn't have the offset block)
If you hunt plowed fields in search of early cabin sites or beaches for jewelry than it might be a coil to add to your arsenal. (More coverage)
If you hunt parks and yards with a lot of modern trash than maybe not. (Too many junk targets under the coil)
I do hunt open pasture and fields, but find that the better balance and the coverage of the 11" is sufficient for me.
I usually carry my 9" and 11" coils with me when I go out and switch between them when needed and I will add the new coil when it comes out.
Basically with no markable increase in depth I found that it wasn't a coil I needed and sold it.
These are just my findings... Your results may vary...

Hi guy's.
I've had all 3coils,,, 9" , 11", 13"
I've got shot of the 13" , here in the uk, I've become to believing that my finds rate has increased by using the smaller coil,, the compermise between using the smaller coil has increased my finds rate, I've only got the 9" & 11" coil, but the 9" is my 1st choice! Reason being you get the good targets hidden within the iron !
As regarding to depth between the coils,, I've noticed hardly any difference! The 9" is always a winner for me!

Thanks for the feedback on the large coil. I watched the 9 inch coil in action on YouTube. It was hard to believe it went deeper than the Etrac 11 inch standard coil. Very impressed. Thanks for everyone's input! I will stick to the 9 and 11 inch coils.

I got a good deal on the 13" couldn't help buying it. Took out yesterday to one of my ghost town sites that have been hit hard by me and everyone else. I pulled a nice 1918S buffalo nickel, a small button, a early small 1800s type pendant. Swung about 3 hrs steady without the swarfy block on. I like the coil, it has the same tendencies as the 9" with a bigger footprint. Weight wise its a bit heavy, not bad. Feels like my racer2 with the stock on or my atgold with stock coil on. Definitely another great tool to have i like it. Performed well
