I'm fairly new to this hobby, owned xlt foralmost 3 years, why would a memorial now ring up as 81 on VDI just started it a few months back GRRRR! when only dimes showed up there in the past. I guess maybe I should dig good sounds and rely more on spectograph, would appreciate your input...Thanks HH

Pre-1982 memorials are copper and read the same as dimes, look at the date.

[size=large]pennies i have found are from +68 - +81. i have to think it will be a little differant depending on your soil and conditions at the time.
my dimes come in around +78 - +82 and Qtrs aound +83 - +90. silver has been +88- +93 so far and nickels are for me around +16 - +20. i found one gold ring with my xlt & 5.3 coil and it came in at around +14- +16. 10kt. white gold. nice sixe mens. i'm sure i'm missing alot cause i can't dig all the weird signals ai come across. it was with-in the last two years i started to notice an increase in complaints about the real high number vdi ending up being balls of rust at the ends of nails. mine around coming in at +99 on one of my machines but i can say i haven't seen that with my xlt. maybe it's just the higher khz machines. the xlt handles bottle caps better also.hope this helps ya to really trust you machine. gotta love the XLT.
