XLT Users?

I ran a search of all messages in the last year in the Main White's Forum for "XLT" and did not get one hit. Does anyone use this detector? What do you think of it as a coin machine?
Thanks!

It is one of White's best, why don't you go down to the XLT Classroom forum for tons of info. Click on forum index and go the classrooms section or click here: http://www.findmall.com/list.php?41

If you type XLT* you will get better search results too. Search fields work better with 4 or more characters.

Thank You Sir!

Right on Larry...never knew you get more info with 4 characters...whether detectors or PC's always a learning process....

The search engine needs more than three characters to do a search, something to do with the algorithms..........:stars:

I love my xlt, a coin finder that I dont know for sure can be beat. But i am looking for a mine lab exploer se pro so i can try it out.

If you go for a Explorer be prepared for a learning period( varies with individuals) just a different beast than an XLT, but most of all be prepared for a heavy poor ergonomic unit at best...

Yup Dan is right, also be prepared for weird audio signals from these detectors......kind of like listening to Zamfir and his pan flute when he was drunk.

put my xlt against any explorer or minelab for that matter wouldnt get rid of it for anything the great finds at great depth never stop , it was a mistake for whites to discontinue this model, but for now it is still available tho.

I have a Whites Spectrum XLT purchased in 1994 and always liked it! The Hip or Chest Mount makes it easy to swing all day and I have found lots and lots of coins (nickels, silver and rings) with it! I think you will like the XLT! Good luck! You can program it with different programs to suit your taste and detecting! I don't get over here on the Whites :detecting: forum very much because of not hunting lately being of very poor health and I post on the CMD Forum most of the time! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty
