XLT Spectrum

Recently picked up an XLT Spectrum 1997/98 vintage and have just had it refurbished at service depot, Is there any difference between an XLT and XLT Spectrum or are they the same. Is there any difference between todays XLT and the XLT Spectrum I have. appreciate any comments about my XLT Spectrum, good, bad or indifferent. Am just learning it now and comments would be appreciated.

I've had the Spectrum and now own the E series. Can't tell much difference except the E series may be a shade faster on response. My opinion, the XLT is the best and most popular machine ever made.

The same unit with different decals. My understanding one internal component is from a different manufacturer which appears to make it run faster when changing programs and facet settings..Of course if buying used and you get the E series you know its the newer model...
Several years ago Whites changed their categories of detectors and XLT was put in their E-series category..Good luck with your new used unit and should give you years of service...
