XLT Spectrum Coils (Need Help!)

Can anyone tell me if the Blue Max 600 Deep Scan coil will work on the XLT Spectrum, and if so, is it a good second coil for rings and coins? Thanks!

If it's 6.59khz yes it will..and the pins are same. It's good for trash areas, so yes to your question..Rings and coins are among the trash..You will suffer a little depth loss compared to 950 loop but hey not all good things are deep.. Expect about 6 inches depth with the 600 if it works. I use 5.3 350 and 8" coils each one is about 10% less depth as you go down the scale 950 8" 5.3" and the 350 may even be a little more than 10% loss on depth but a real killer in trash..It is a little unstable also..The 600 should be stable once properly ground balanced. Hope that helps and of course you understand thats only my opinion and I could be off a little. I have had several XLts and still do in fact use one.Each machine reacts just a little differently on the optional coils.....My latest does not like the 350 much it's a little irratic when mounted. Make certain the 600 Blue Max is not for the DFX..But I am fairly certain it is not. If I remember correctly I used one on my 5900 SL.......

Whites Blue Max will fit XLt-XL Pro series-5900 and all earlier 6.59khz models........
