XLT software

Gil

Member
Hi I would like to know if anyone can tell me how to determine whether an XLT has 1.1 software? Is there a break in the serial number to tell?
Thanks
Keep swinging

Gil, if you have the detector in hand turn it on and look in the lower right hand corner of screen it will say version 1.1. As far as the serial number I don't know.

Not sure if version 1.0 or 1.1 is that relevant as the Eagle Spectrum uses version 1.0 and is a very stable and fairly deep detector. I have the 1.1 XLT and 1.0 version Eagle and use the 1.0 more for some reason. The Spectrum indicates version 1.0 at midlevel right on the screen and the XLT indicates 1.1 at lower right screen at startup. Both setups work great !! HH Bill

Turn on the unit and 1.0 or 1.1 should appear..Was changed to 1.1 in 94 or early 95 and basically the new 1.1 version just contains a revision in the preset relic mode and is used till this day. A quick call to the Whites 800 number and they will be able to tell you the manufactured date by the serial number..
