XLT screen problem

fyrffytr1

Well-known member
I have an XLT that I use for a back up and as a loaner for friends. When I first turn it on the screen stays blank until it gaet to the program selection screen. The detector works fine otherwise. Is there anything I can do to remedy this glitch?
Please keep this as un-technical as you can. I still haven't figured out how a thermos bottle works!

One simple thing While machine is turn on remove battery it reset machine leave out for few minutes. After that it start to get a little technical like opening pod and checking connection or opening box and checking connection

First I would try Fred's reboot and also on the technical side a loose wire to the screen pod or the pod itself could be faulty...heck give Whites a call as very friendly and they may have a simple fix...

Is that a 1964 GTO

Norman,
It's a 65 clone. I sold it two years ago and bought a 67 GTO convertible that I am doing a frame off restoration on. The 65 was a beautiful car. 455, 4-speed, posi'traction. It would fly. I just wanted a true GTO.

Gone to turn it on wind it up blow it out little gto. Song Ronnie & The Daytonas - 'Little GTO' also beach boys did a song to called gto.Do not try to find song with metal detector, better to hunt on u tube for song.

I had a 67 GTO was Hurst package. 400 cid. with slap stick auto tranny. I got in 1972 and it was to much car for a 17 year old hot head I was it the time.

I had similar problems with my MXT but I sent it
in to Whites and they repaired it no questions asked.
I bought it used but that didn't matter to them.
Whites has great customer service.
