As was said earlier, it's a mood ring. They come in dozens of colors and designs. Sometimes they have a silver ring core, but not often. The plastic material changes color based on temperature and humidity, thus showing the "mood" of the wearer. I have found dozens of these on the beach over the years. Sent a handful to my granddaughter last year...don't know if she wears 'em or not.....Gil
