hi all :) ..
i just bought a mint condition xlt e series, tried it with a stock 9.5 coil (off a qxt) and a bullseye 5.3..it seems to be operating properly, but i have a concern..the sounds it makes when it hits a target, seem sort of fuzzy,etc...its not as crisp, clear as i would have expected from a high end machine..is this normal??? also,i tried tone id and it sounded pathtic:( ..maybe i have to learn the settings of this machine, but as i said,i was expecting a little better sound..any tips/advice on this would be much appreciated.thanks all:)

...what your problems with it are...maybe try looking up some custom programs on the internet and then tweak some different settings to how you like it. it may be just something you have to get used to. i've had my XLT for about a year and a half now and i have loved it every time i have used it and i hope you will too because it is a great machine!!

Happy Hunting!

<center> well I dont know if you were using headphones, but if so I say get better ones for sure then cheap ones, some will sound like a tin can on the xlt and or DFX
also if you were not using headphones is there a decal or sticker over the speaker???

Target sounds should not be fuzzy. Try both with and without headphones to narrow down the problem. If either is an improvement then its not likely to be a major circuit board problem. As you have already tried two coil with no change then its not a coil problem though corrosion on the connector pins can have some weird effects.
One worry I have from your post is why a mint XLT series would not have its own stock 950 coil ? You say that you tried one off a QXT.
