XLT DIFFERANCES

widebody

New member
IT'S BEEN MENTIONED THAT THERE ARE TWO VERSIONS OF XLT OUT THERE. THE E SERIES AND THE QUANTUM SERIES.
1. IS THIS CORRECT?

2. WHAT'S THE DIFFERANCES?

3. A BOOK BY KEVIN MULROONY WAS WRITTEN FOR THE QUANTUM. CAN THIS BOOK HELP THE E SERIES USER AS WELL?

4. WHERE DO I GET MY MITTS ON ONE.? I CHECKED WHITES SITE. DIDN'T SEE IT. WILL TRY AMAZON NEXT.

I MUST CORRECT MY POSTING. IT SHOULD READ SPECTRUM. NOT QUANTUM. AND THE BOOK ISN'T AVAILABLE AT AMAZON.

The Quantum XT and Quantum II were quite different from the XLT and, personally, I never really cared for either of them all that much, or the QXT Pro as the final version.

When the XLT was first released it had Version 1.0 and after a rather short period a couple of program changes resulted in the version 1.1. That remained all the way to the very recent end. :(

The E-Series was simple part of a rename of the upper-end models when they also went (again) with the 'Pro' title and changed the Quantum XT to QXT Pro, 6000 Pro XL to XL Pro, and Classic IDX to IDX Pro. Nothing really more for most of them than a change in the control housing labels.

Tonight, when I have a few minutes/hours to spare I'll reply to your E-mail.

That's great on the e-mail. The book helps all xlt people then. correct? If so then it's just left to finding a copy.
