XLT case stickers

Does the type of stickers found on the XLT reflect its age? Some XLTs have the rainbow on the case stickers and some don't. Are there any significant or even minor electronic differences in the older vs. newer XLT models? When did the first XLT come on the market?

made a small change when they went from version 1.0 to version 1.1 and I have only owned 18 XLT's personally, and haven't seen any real difference in them other than the factory programs affects by the "version" change.

The XLT had the "rainbow" decals when it was referred to as the XLT Spectrum, and then it was renamed (no internal changes) to the XLT E-series.

My present XLT is a choice "Spectrum" edition of the XLT that I bought from a fellow in "as new" pristine condition in September. Works as well as the E-series XLT I had this past spring.
