XLT Blue Max 600

Just bought a Blue max 600 deep scan coil P/N 624-0263 (HI 9421) the bolt holes on the ears of this coil look to be 1/8th of an inch, and the holes on the lower shaft for the coil bolt on the XLT are every bit 1/4 size hole. will the coil still work with a smaller plastic bolt and nut? or drill out the ears on the coil?

Ya some of the early ones had smaller holes. I have one in fact and I just drill the holes out. Just take a 3/8" drill bit and drill the holes out to make them larger.

The Blue Max 600 is the same coil as the 5.3 Bullseye or Black Max. I've drilled out a couple of older coil ears and they work fine.
