XL pro

Eric

New member
I was so very smart to sell my XL pro. Needless to say I am crying now:cry: Can anyone tell what detector comes close to the XL pro?

I never used the disc mode but was addicted to the SAT mode.

thanks.... Eric.

I am not sure there is another detector like the XL-Pro/ 6000 Pro SL series, having that accurate analog meter and 4 filter disc, along with the other modes. You know they are selling very high used.

I just love that SAT mode more than anything else. I can pick up a very cheap 6000DI with that blue box but it doesnt have that SAT mode.

Thanks, Eric.

Thanks Eric I think ill try my SAT on the XL Pro???? We all make mistakes??? It will be ok as long as we stay 6 Feet above the Ground???? LOL Keep Hunting , Thats a double cider, Look for a trade on the fourm, Mick

Eric, I think I would hold out for the Pro or the 6000 DI Pro SL, but it is your call.
Are you still using any of the Compass detectors or have you moved on to others?
Take care now and HH.

Mick,

I simply loved the SAT mode and never used anything else.

Try it..... its very easy.

Eric.

Steve, I always have a compass in my battery. Its a very fine brand and is superb in iron infested European soil. But, I also have a Base Baron recently and still have to get used to it but its a good one too. I really like it!
But I do miss the XL PRO.

Regards, Eric.

[size=medium]I have to tell you that I have also parted with more than one of them, and I regret It deeply! It is one of the models on my 'To Get' list as I assemble my final general purpose battery.

The XL Pro was simply a renamed 6000 Pro XL. Don't mistake them with the 6000/Di Pro SL While the former model was/is a good detector, I feel the last two offerings provided excellent performance with excellent balance and improved battery life.

One will come along for you to snatch up, eventually, and shortly thereafter another saddened hobbyist will post his blunder. ;)

In fact before I was telling to everyone never to sell there XL pro. And what did I do....? I think a detector is also very personal and the XL pro was just my cup of tea.

Thanks, Eric.

After reading all the hoopla about the DFX,I broke down and bought one.Luckily I held on to my xl-pro .After a week or so of jumping vdi's&wasted time trying to id targets I went back to my pro.Simply put, looking at the analog meter is just easier&quicker!DBULL
