:jump: Got out tonight and found several Memorial cents, a couple wheaties, 2 clad dimes, 2 clad quarters, an old buckle, and best of all my 2nd ever MORGAN dollar. This XL Pro just loves silver! I guess thats why we make such a good team, cause I do too!!!

You must have a great hunting area! Wonderful find! I've yet to find anything bigger than a silver half - but at least one was a Barber.

We'll all have our day... But I wouldn't complain about the Mercs! They sure beat all the clad & zinc junk out there!

And what's up with the modern Canadian dollar coins? With the discriminator set at nickels, they still come up as junk! What's in them things anyway?
 
US Jefferson Nickels are 75% copper and 25% nickel. EXCEPT for those minted 1942-1945 (commonly referred to as Silver War Nickels) which were 56% copper, 35% silver, .9% manganese
