deluc,
After using Google to search for this problem, it appears the most common solution is to uninstall xchange and download/install the newest version from Minelab.

A few have also claimed Firefox helped them to solve it.

Also, according to the Minelab Owners forum, this problem can ocassionally be caused by the Minelab servers themselves...has the problem just started?
If so, you may want to wait till tomorrow...if the problem goes away, it was them.
If not, you may wish to contact Minelab support.

As a side note, having worked in the software world, internet connection problems like this are common with a computer that has virus problems.
You may wish to run a full virus scan, just to be sure.

Good Luck,
mike

Mike, thanks all ready for the help /support.
I did a format off the computer, installed the latest xchange version,
Pc is clean of viruses.
I looked on Google and tried chrome, fire Fox and slimjet .
First I get a error with chromedium ....
I solved that with sp1,
I think it will be the servers, let's hope so.
When it's solved I let you now.
Thanks again

It might be a server problem. The weather here is not cooperating so I cleaned my stuff up today and was going to clean out a couple of programs I don't like and load some new ones to try. I cannot connect to the Xchange either.

It must be on their end, I am in Tennessee and am getting the same message.

It was still down this morning when I left the house, I just really want to see where the stuff I found this weekend is on a map! I used waypoints to store locations of bridges, roads, etc and am ready to see where I was.

I just got a CTX last week and have had the same problem trying to connect with the internet....I've used both hard copy of the Xchange 2 program, and download from Minelab...I have tried it on Mozilla, and Chrome....I have tried it on my Mom's computer, My Son's computer, and even my work computer. I have tried it via proxy server.....still no connections. I don't understand what is happening, unless it is on Minelab's end !! I cleaned out any remnants of even my Etrac exchange program just to be sure as well......but to no avail !! Very frustrated !!

Have any on you called Minelab for support?

I hear you, I tried it again before I left the house this morning, still nothing. It's got to be on their end, I have also been using two computers, one of them the only thing I do with it is the exchange program and it worked fine the previous weekend.
