XChange 2 Software Editing Question

Hi,

Hopefully someone out there knows the answer !

I'm really enjoying my CTX 3030 and the bonus of being able to plot searches and record find locations on the XChange 2 software is great.

A really useful tool for anaylising searches etc.

One area of the software I find frustrating is that I can't seem to edit the Geohunt names.

At present when you transfer a search from the CTX 3030 to the XChange 2 softwarer, the Geohunt search is shown as GE01 or what ever number is next in the sequence.

Unlike a Find Spot marker, I dont seem to be able to rename the search to anything of my choosing and if I try and attempt to save the new name I get an Error - saying "Start must be before or equal to the End" whatever that means in computer speak !!!!

I've checked the forum and can't see solution to this problems, can anyone out there help please ?

Many thanks

I haven't had any trouble changing the name of GeoHunts. It can't be done in the CTX, only in the XChange2 app, after the transfer from the CTX. It sounds like you already know that, since you can change names of FPs and WPs. The error message sounds more like it has something to do with the starting and ending times/dates of the GeoHunt. You aren't editing a date or time in addition to the name change are you? I changed the name and SAVE was successful. I then changed the beginning date to Nov 22 and left the end at Nov 21. Tried to save and got the error you mentioned. I attached a couple of pics showing the name change on a GH. (Not really a GeoHunt. I used the machine to trace some trails and locate various points from my hunting area. I'm finding the GeoHunt and WPs features can be used for things other than Detecting.) If I come up with any other ideas on your issue, I'll make another post......HH
