Xcal sure can hit on small targets.

Been out a couple of times this week at sunset and into the night for the low tides, giving the Xcal and myself a good workout . Decided on a Plugger shaft, which I sure do like for the even distribution of weight. The Xcal sure does hit on some small targets, most of these were found along the shoreline,(scoop, dump and scan), or I'm sure a lot of the items would have slipped through the scoop. Turtle with pearl ??, is not silver, but their are two broken ring pieces that are. I did do some digging for some items, no problem locating targets, find it just as easy as the DF to pinpoint with. Hope others are doing well, seems things are slow getting started around here....spring break has been cold and wet for the most part, a repeat of last year, but this past week has not been too bad, and the sunsets have been outstanding!!! Hi Bob, you look like you're doing well there mate, I know what you mean about the Excalibur finding small targets, it's nuts what it can pick up! I hope things pick up now it's getting warmer... Good luck :)

They find HIGH conductor target way to small.... dont we wish they would find targets less than .3 grams? For a straight shaft..... get nothing but a carbon fiber from Bill. I prefer the 45" then i move the cuff about 3" forward. Better balance and keeps the machine out of the water even more. You also have the ability to really extend the coil if you hit the wet or dry sand. Enjoy the machine.
