Took the X70 out sniffin for relics yesterday......heard a signal 38 on the ID worked it a bit to repeat must have been on edge & was rewarded down about 7" down I saw a black round thing...thought it was another button but one edge I saw a glint of silver..........could just make out the lady.....date was there 1875 clear as day....cleaned up nice too.
X70 really sounds off on buttons too....one of those unidentifiable discs looks like a worn K G I or Half cent also.. all in all a fun day......more to come

Happy New Year!

I like those Seated coins, so it's good to see someone digging them. That flat disc might be a KG copper, it should be about the same size as a Large Cent, or maybe it's a corroded LC. Take some wet/dry or flint paper and scrub at it with a little water as a lubricant. You can sometimes get the profile of a head. Don't worry about ruining the coin, it looks already gone but it's nice to know what it is. Ron
