OK couldn't wait until spring, found an awesome deal on ebay. Like new X-70 with 9in stock coil, 6in DD coil with lower rod never used, pin pointer, headphones, 16 month left on ESP, Rain cover, carry bag, all paperwork plus more for 550.00 had to take it. Should be here today, can't wait until this weekend weather should be nice, any and all tips and advice welcomed Derek
 
Congrats on you new X-Terra!! I just know you will enjoy it. Take time to read the manual, and maybe the faqfaq. Those 2 things helped me very much. Good luck to you, Beale.

I was probably bidding against you. Finally gave up and just went a head and bought a new one. Didn't mind it though, came with a 4 year warranty. I just bought the DD 6" HF and the 9.5" LF on eBay. Now I just have to get through the races this weekend and work on Monday then I can try it out.
Congrats on the purchase! For me it is a way different experience (I have an old Garrett Master Hunter). I liked the old machine and did well with it but much has changed in 20 years.

Congratulations on buying a great machine, but the warranty doesn't transfer.
 
Yea didn't think the warranty would, not like tesoro. still a great deal, I didn't have to outbid anyone it was a buy it now, Can't wait to try it out but I won't get to until Sunday have to work.
 
Tesoro warranties don't transfer either, although Tesoro will generally fix a second hand detector for no charge.
 
Sorry that's what I meant about the warranty, owned 2 tesoros one that I purchased used, and they did service it at no charge. Maybe minelab would to but I don't know. Derek
