X1 PROBE & ADDITIONAL WEIGHT

From what I can see, it looks as if the X1 probe is mounted on the explorer shaft. The explorer is heavy enough as is, How much more weight is added to it? Is it possible to wear the X1 probe at belt or does this add another 'wire' that will get tangled up? Probe sounds interesting, still undecided.

Ted you really dont notice any added weight, I would say the switch box doesnt add more than a few ounces, and the probe mounted on the battery compartment more than evens it out on balance...Jim

thats nice to know i just sent my upper rod in tues. afternoon ralph emailed me this evening and said there is a 2 week turn around time on it(x1 probe) i have only used the exp.xs 4 hours total and i figure probally going to use it 100 more before i get the hang of it.read the manual and andys book ALL WINTER LONG::::

ted, your not going to even notice the additional weight from the x-1. i mounted my probe to the upper shaft and ive found no real difference in the weight. your going to love it.
