X-terra70 hits big silver buckle

Grant

I really Hope these picks come through found a Gorgeous comstock German silver belt buckle that looks like someone bought it took it off and just tossed it it was about 4" down and Overloaded my X-terra70 I thought it was big piece of iron but the silver range kept coming up BY far this is my best find The detail is great there's a man riding a horse in copper or bronze and you can see the fence clouds farmhouse bushes all hand carved even on the back you can see the tool marks from pounding the shape! I'm on cloud nine even if this is not worth any money the detail is awesome and I'll be wearing it even though I'm far from a cowboy!. I still can't figure out how this ended up in the backwoods of an old park! Any info on this would be appreciated and thanks for taking a look! Grant

Grant, that is one pretty and impressive find. I probably would have not dug an overload signal. I guess I will think twice now. R.L.

I know this because I have several rifles that have "German Silver" front sights and it is in reality a Nickel Alloy. But it sure looks like Silver, and for the purpose of a belt buckle where you would be constantly getting acid/oil from your hands on it, is better suited for the purpose.

Here's a link about "German Silver";

But please don't let this detract from your enjoyment of a terrific find. That's a really nice piece that anybody would be thrilled with, and I mean thrilled!

Here's a link to the company that made the buckle:
