Yes ,I carry it with my right hand. I keeps my balanced with my detector and i've got all my tools at hand!

It's a piece of 1/12" Stainless steel tube cut at 12" Long. Then cut the side out with an angle grinder. Then sharpen the bottom edge. The rubber knob on the top is a furniture leg knob available at hardware stores. When using, I pinpoint first with my Pistol probe, The push the tube down into the soil all around to make a nice little 1/12" plug. Then i use it to remove the soil underneath and place this on my rubber mat to retreive my target.
