X-Terra Sweep Height

I have been reading different suggestions on how to detect with the X-terra. Some say to scrub the coil on the ground and some say to keep the coil about an inch off the ground. Was wondering what you kind folks say. Hopefully my X-Terra 30 will be here for this weekend, can't wait. Thanks! Steve.

Page 17 of the X-30/X-50 and page 15 of the X-70. "Keep the coil close and parallel to the ground at all times. This will increase detection depth and response to small objects. Avoid excessive brushing of the coil on the ground, as this may result in false signals and inaccurate Target ID's. A variation in coil height at the end of each swing may also cause confusing sounds and reduce detection depth." HH Randy

I give mine about half to an inch of air but no more than that. As close as I can get without scrubbing.

Hi Steve
keep the coil about one inch off the ground and dont ufo it. Lifting coil at end of sweep.
