X - Terra 90 !

Minelab are a very clever & innovative company , look at their detector development & sales.

Multi purpose units are going to be the big sellers, and they know it!

Now that Fisher has just released there F-75, Minelab will be quick to respond .

The power of internet forums is now manifest to all leading detector companys, most units will be reviewed by the those that pay the final $$ BUCKS !

Can't you smell the XT-90 ?

The ones with insight have said there is no X-terra 90, most likely it is true. The same folks stated that there would be no Explorer 3, that was true also as it is named Explorer SE.

Maybe a new terra is named someting elso too. I have been thinking why they dont come with a terra that holds all 3 frequencies that you can change with a flip of a switch, after all one of their VLF gold detectors has that option so all needed technology is right there.

Marketing wise this would be clever and Minelab are marketing geniouses.

They already made the better multi purpose unit.

What we will see in the next two to three years from the great australian detector company however, in the form of an all purpose unit, will turn the worldwide detecting market on its head.

You see bobby, they made it their buisness twenty something years ago to be the innovators in all things detecting. They do not rest on their laurels.

Would be to put the guts to an SE into the body of an XTerra. I just traded my XS for a Terra, why? The weight of the XS was killing my elbow and the screen is so darn hard to see in the sun. Detecting shouldn't be a struggle and I don't know why they have stood by that clunky design for so many years. The SE was a slight improvement though... Yup, a 3 frequency, selectable machine would be nice too. They would be one-up on White's DFX, but I wouldn't be surprised to see White's come out with one of those. Ron

So much for resting on there Laurals. I just wished they would get off there Aussie Butts and put out that small coil. Now that is what I call a Joke. Never ever, will I again, buy a machine without a small coil to go with it. NEVER. Later Jerry aka Tinfoil

Hey Jerry,

Does that mean you won't be getting an F75? They, too, are promising a small coil "in the future".

Good hunting,

Hi Guys,
How would it be to spot your goodies without any discrimination thats down the track a little bit and then it will become exciting.
Regards Pinpointa.

Heck Jerry, it took Fisher 5 years to make one for the Coin Strike. One year is a piece of cake!

without a small coil. I got a Excell I had to make a pinpointer out of cause Fisher Was not going to make a small coil for it. I got a edge with the 5" coil. I love Fisher machines but No small coil, NO DEAL, PERIOD. I learned my LESSON. I don't care if the F75 is better then Popcorn and after I test it it is the best machine out there. So First Texas needs to get going on this small coil. They left the T2 guys behind and hanging out in the air to dry on there small coil. Same with the guys with the ID Excell. Now that is two machines the guys got chumped on and got suckered into. What a bunch of junk. That is the reason I did not try the T2. . Well back to Lurking done said enough. :D: :D: Jerry aka Tinfoil

We all know how it all works when it comes to technology. Never hold your breath and never believe what you read. Patience people.....what will be, will be and the way things have moved in the last 5 years is a clear indication on what is yet to come. Most of the detectors we use today are bloody good value for your money compared to the old tin boxes of the past. When they come out with a detector that can visually X-ray the ground and show you exactly why your machine is beeping its little heart out, then I will be very impressed. On field hook up to your lap top as well as a built in GPS system to hold all of your top detecting spots. No more sending your detector back to minelab for new program updates just download them directly from there website into your detector.......new patterns, codes, gps updated maps etc etc. Why not throw in some solar power panels to keep those batteries alive for even better consumption. There is so much you can do to improve the modern day detector. Who knows what the future may bring......imagine a remote controlled detector that drops different coloured markers for different signals......the possibilities are endless. For now just enjoy what we have, I love my X-Terra 70 and think its the bees knees since the first exp came along.
Cheers!

will produce in the very near future pinpointa, and minelab will be the manufacturer to do it, that is for sure.
