Hi All, been out a bunch lately, found lots of coins and stuff, nothing worth mentioning, its been fun. Going to go out tomorrow for a bit. What I am wondering is....What kind of depth are we getting out of our 6" DD coils? I took mine to the beach and a park and found stuff fairly deep, 4" to 7" on coins, What are You guys getting? I have been using my 5" x 10" DD Elliptical coil and finding deep everything, but, I have been getting it pretty wet, they are not waterproof, so I was thinking of going out with my 6" coil which is waterproof...Any Feedback? Rick

I would not hesitate to use the 6-inch coil on the beach. As you said, it has excellent depth. I know around here I can get coins at 6 - 8 inches. The only "drawback" is that it doesn't cover as much sand in each sweep, as your elliptical. Other than that, since they're both HF coils, I don't think you'll see much difference. JMHO HH Randy
