X-Terra 70

New member
Hi I have been thinking of getting an X-terra 70 for the weight savings mostly.
But I not sure about going back to a single freq. detector. I have been useing Explorer the last
few years and mostly the sovereign before that. How are the tones on this machine. and do
you find it works well in iron trash sites. ( thats what my hunting areas are mainly.).

Thanks,
ScottR

As for the tones, if you had your back turned you would think it was an Explorer when you hit a target.
Trash, I have no trouble with it on my old sites. I don't hunt city parks and such so I don't have to deal with poptops and pulltabs.
Others will help with your question too.
I also used the Explorers before the XT70.

Just play with the sensitivity.

Hi Scott. I use the 70 in trashy iron infested sites for gold nuggets and coins on old goldfield diggings and old diggers home sites. It works great amongst the trash and is super light and manouverable. I actually go out of my way to find the most junky sites to use it in.
Theres not much about it not to like. Great little machine.
