X-TERRA 70

Hi there. Looking at buying my first detector for hunting real small gold nuggets that are all around where I live.

Anybody here had and experience with using an XTerra 70 for locating small gold?

Hi,
I've been using the Xterra to hunt for nuggets for the past year and a half, and man it is lethal on the small nuggets! Use either the 18.75 5x10 elliptical coil or the 18.75khz
6" DD coil and you wont believe how well it will get the small nuggets. I've found big ones too! (look at the post entitled "Second time out I find big nuggets in arizona" above this article". I cant say enough for the Xterra 70 for nuggets...I really works great for nuggets and yet works great for coin and relics too at a great price. I'd not sell or trade mine for anything! ross ^_^

Welcome to the site! While I do not "hunt" for gold I do know the 70 will find it, Beale.

Perhaps I should have clarified a bit. The nuggets that are eround here are small, most likely so small that they may not even be called nuggets,
Match head size down to pin head - X-Terra have no trouble finding these?
