X terra 70 Vs Tesoro Tejon

Quite simple really

How would a Tesoro Tejon perform next to an X terra 70 WITH a 18.5 coil of simular size as the Tesoro (to keep things equal)

I detect almost always on UK farm land

If you are seeking low conductors, i.e. gold/brass then the Tejon & X70 will respond well. The major downfall of the Tejon is the iron rejection when set below U.S. Nickel on the discrimination knob. The Tejon suffers from iron breakthrough which makes for very noisy audio. The X70 is almost brick wall in comparison. The end result is that you end up knob twiddling with the Tejon trying to distinguish small gold from iron nail breakthrough. The X70 has TID, VDI, All Metal, Patterns, Iron Mask etc. which make it much easier to work in iron.

For a 25% price differential in USD there is no comparison in feature set, modes etc. The Tejon is the past, machines like the X70 are the future.
