X-Terra 70 test results at a small hidden park...............

A few weeks ago, a friend told me about a small city park located in a neighborhood not far from where I live. This park is approximately five acres in size and approximately twenty to twenty-five years old. It is located towards the back of the neighborhood and does not look like a park from the street...looks more like a couple of vacant lots. There is some playground equipment, but it is hidden from veiw by some houses.

This is what I found after several hours of hunting, using the standard 9" coil that came with the X-Terra 70 and original Grey Ghost headphones. I found most of the coins near the only two large trees in the park...about fifty feet from the playground equipment.

All the coins were modern clad, no rings found, but lots of pull tabs. Miscellanious items found but not pictured was one metal button, part of the back of what appeared to be an ear ring, a brass key, and some normal odds & end junk. I hunted in AM mode, sensitivity was at 20, and Auto Ground...just normal settings. Bouncing numbers were somewhat of a pain in the butt, but managable because the park was not extremely trash laden with pull tabs. Most of the time the targets locked on solid, but the coins were not very deep...depth ranged from on the surface to approximately 6".

As always, I enjoyed using the X-Terra 70...especially like the light weight and large display screen. I do need to make a stand for it because it keeps falling on it's side...the original stand is not large enough in my opinion. Also, I am of the opinion that I could have had the same results if I had used my X-Terra 30. Please have a great day! Kelley (Texas) :)
