X-Terra 70 Strikes again!! Eureka!!

Well no matter how many times people have told me in the past "There isnt anymore gold left mate its all gone" I still shake my head and laugh to myself. I spent about 2 hours today going over some old diggings for the first time with the Terra! and I must say I had a bloody good time. Its been awhile since I have detected on a goldfield and no matter how many coils and prospectors hammer a place there is still gold to be found. Its not much of course but like B.T says the little ones are pretty sweet especialy when your mate finds nothing at all. I now know why B.T praises this machine so much and even though I have found alot of coins and some jewelry this machine is definetly HOT on nuggets, so hot in fact that these two peices nearly blew my ears off. Enjoy the photo's!

In one of the photo's there is a shot of the coil with the two peices of gold on it. I did zoom in a fair bit on the gold so you probably didnt notice the coil type. There is no place she cant get into...ideal for hard to get at places.
Cheers!

I was running at 26 for most of the time but varied from that to 23. I tell you what though I was very impressed with its stability and how smooth it ran on the terrain. I also had no problem with interference from my mates detector which is an SD series.....We could practically work within a few yards from each other. I also had my discrimination setting on 1 (B.T's Advice) but even on the preset lvl of 5 the XT-70 picked up both peices easily. I'm looking forward to the long weekend next week to get back out there.....its amazing how a couple of small peices can get you hyped up Lol.
Cheers!

Congratulations Nugget71,

I know what a buzz it is to find gold in any form, like your opinion on the 70 compaired to M.Ls big gunns on that ground ?

Also what was the total cost with the extra coil, OZ dollars are fine for me.

Hope you get heaps more.

Regards Bobby.

Coil was $190 Aud and she ran smooth on the ground most of the time at sensitivity of 26. I'm sold on this detector completely now and would recomend anyone to give one a go......I'm lovin the XT-70 and totaly understand B.T's love affair with it lol.
Cheers!

for local prospecting grounds here in QLD to try out my XT-70. Gotta get a bit of winter non-beach detecting in. :detecting:

cheers...Keith

Lol get into it mate! I'm sure you will have heaps of fun with youre 70.

Great stuff Nugget and good on you. When I first got mine and started finding goild with it my mate was amazed that a VLF in 2007 could still cut it. He went and saw a bloke he knows at Coiltek in Maryborough and told him how well it was working. They told him that it was crap and laughed at him and that all it was good for was old people looking for coins in parks.
Its a wild little machine on gold and amongst junk for gold to me has no equal.
Good on you again Nugget.

I was told the same thing when I was asking around about the XT-70 and most people just laughed at me which you should never do because it only makes me more determined to prove someone wrong LOL. I really must say your a godsend to this forum and all keen prospectors like myself who enjoy this hobby. Your stories and proof have shown all of us and inspired me to follow in your footsteps to finding gold with the XT-70 and for this I thankyou! I thank everyone on this forum for there wisdom and input and enjoy reading and sharing everyones experiences. I have always had faith in the X-terra 70 and like you am convinced she is a great machine and can definetely hold her own on the goldfields.
Cheers!

Anyone weilding an XT-70 who comes up my way is more then welcome to join me on the fields up here anytime with sufficient notice. And your right B.T the ground here is bloody beautiful! There were only a few spots where I had to turn the sensitivity down a little but found 26 to be very stable.
Cheers!

Mate, how can anyone not like the 70? Those who bag it only do so out of total ignorance. Your right Nugget, its a HOT little machine.
I finally got out and the toe only just pinched after 3 hours.
And yes I got a bit. Ok only samll at .3 of a g in quartz but after nearly 3 months of finding gold being just a fading memory it looked more like something ten times the size. After I kept taking it out of my pocket to look at it for the 10th time it then shrunk to its actuall size of .3.
Cant wait to get out next week properly.
Have a good one mate.

Hahaha you must have been itchin to get out and about mate, glad you found some of the yellow too! Hope youre toe heals up sooner then later and wish you all the best this weekend. Dont forget to post those pictures of the BIG one you get with the 70, I know its gotta be around the corner.
Cheers!
