X-Terra 70, should be coming today!!

Hi all, I'm new to this X-Terra forum. I'm really looking forward to getting my XT70, and been doing lots of reading to get myself ready for my new detector.

HH Thomas

Hi and welcome , you will find alot of good people here and all the help you need with your x 70.

Good Choice and Good Luck :detecting:

HH. I got mine last week, and promptly came down with a cold. But, feeling better now and have gone out twice. Today I scored 36 coins in about 2 hours. Still, of course, digging a lot of false readings to help me learn this machine. I 'm happy that I did dig up 3 signals that I felt weren't coins and they weren't. I used to think my MXT was pretty good but the X-70 blows it out of the water. Not bad mouthing the MXT, it's just that the X-70 is a much better detector. My opinion of course. Read that manual, read and re-read all the posts on this machine. Don't be shy about asking questions. This X-70 is one great machine

Hi Thomas.
Congratulations too! You're doing the right thing by reading all you can on the detector you've purchased - and you've selected a VERY good detector too! There's an FAQ section on this Forum which has a lot of interesting tips and information contributed by lots of different members here.

The Manual is very important. I didn't read mine properly and so on my first day out with the X-Terra 70, I was not selecting the right settings so i found nothing but junk targets. It will take a couple of days to realize that this detector is a very sound and practical tool for finding all sorts of preferred targets. After you've worked out which settings to use for your own type of detecting and the area you detect in, you'll be amazed at how easy it is to just turn your Detector on and GO! Lots of tricks that you can pick up on the forums too which don't appear in the manual.

All the best!

Marco

Good luck with that new machine Thomas. I'm looking forward to hearing your progress with it.
Mike
PS. I'm jealous...
