X-Terra 70 set up for hot soil

New member
So, I have a hunt coming up in Virginia, and I am looking for suggestions, and opinions on how best to set up my X70 to handle this "hot" soil...
Any and all help greatly appreciated.

I assume what you mean as hot soil is highly mineralized soil. A lot of the soil in southwest Virginia is highly mineralized, while the soil in eastern Virginia is low in mineralization. My choice of coils in both locations is the 10.5 DD 7.5 kHz. This coil works great in high mineralized soil and I have recovered CW bullets to 11" or 12" depths. For me the X-70 and above coil make for a perfect relic hunting machine. HH TomB
