X-terra 70 Question

Have a issue sometimes with external speaker not working, even with new batts. Now i removed the screw that holds control box to handle to remove and clean and noticed this problem went away. They dont show this screw in instruction but a X50 i had showed this screw. Should this screw interfear with detector? Thanks Tom

It shouldn't, but then again I've never used that screw to hold the control unit on.

Unless the unit has other issues, most often when I hear about speaker or headphone problems the headphone jack is the culprit. Speaker problems are most common. The speaker circuit is made and broken every time the headphones are plugged in and unplugged. Over time the connection when made gets poorer until it begins to fail sporadically.

Personally, as long as the headphones don't have a problem I don't care what happens to the speaker as I never use it.
