Hi
Have had my Exterra 70 for 3 weeks now and have done some testing and a very little detecting so far. Stock Coil tests.Sens at max fairly smooth.
My terra balances out perfect at 15-17 and I detect one step down in any location. In this ground an Airtest copper coin ( 2 ore Norway ) that reads 34 reads 44 in ground at 5-6 inch buried.Do I dare say it reads 44 even 4" above ground, but I can hear it even furter away.
A morgan at 10" reads 48 so never notch that out, instead of notching use prospecting on 48 hits. A hotrock goes wiii(null)haaauuuu instead of the morgans smooth ziiiiiiip. This is at Iron mask -5.The morgan is ID at 48 to atleast 2" above ground but big silver is really smooth when deep so I just dont know what happens when passing one in the field.Hope I hear that elusive half speciedaler ( Norwegian 1d size coin )
Also in my ground when using 99 tones my coins give high sound hits even if the ID nr bounces from -6 to 48 and all inbetween. With 2 or 3 tones atleast the sound is breaking down too.The 99 tone thing and maybe 4 can give an inch more depth versus other preferences on deep coins.
The detector is deep, atleast CZ deep in testgarden. Doesnt get fooled as bad on nails but I have dug some disapointers but they would just not pinpoint well so I relly knew it.As for CZ I have only owned the 7a pro.
Would I recommend this detector- O yes I will, so far i give it just a notch below Sov and Explorer but not as much as stated on even the minelab site regarding power on VFLEX versus BBS FBS.
The Terra will be a killer with a 5" coil !!!!!
Regards.
