X- Terra 70 and depth

If anyone has doubts about the X-70 going deep enough, I dug a 1/2" button (plain, 2-piece) today at about 12 - 13". I had the 10.5 DD, running All - Metal, Sens. at 28 and TID at 30 with a good solid tone. I almost gave up on it thinking it was a large piece of iron that was deep. I finally found it with the pinpointer deep in the hole, lying flat. I also found my first 3-center today but it was the nickle variety, so it's a bit rough. I'll post the finds pic later, too tired to do the set-up but here is a view from the field. Ron

That's really good depth, wonder if my 50 will get the same type of depth? I've dug dimes at 8" with no problem with the standard coil. Is that 10.5 DD the 7.5 or 18.75? Thanks, John

Those larger DD coils are super on the 70. I have been using the high freq one and it gets really good depth even in beach mode with a lower sens.

Nice finds!

Get a DD coil of any frequency you wont be disapointed.

John, it's the 7.5. Someday, I'd like to try the large 18.75 for coins. Ron

and it is one amazing little coil. It will pick up the smallest item at impressive depths, very sensitive for gold jewelry. Thinking about getting the 10.5 DD 18.75 for relic hunting, should be good on brass items.
