X-Terra 50 VS XLT

Howdy everybody,
I am about to sell my XLT and possibly buy a X-terra 50. One of the reasons is where I go out MD there is alot of Hot Rock and the XLT goes crazy. I worked with the settings
but I just can't seem to get right
another reason is i am looking for a system whith not so much program changes. I usally only go Relic hunting in the desert , does anybody have information
how the X-50 is around hot rock.

to hunt about anywhere , even the desert. I have used mine from california to alabama and have never seen a place it could not be used. With its manual ground balance and simple adjustments its just not a problem. If you put a 10.5 mf dd coil on it you would have a great relic machine in the desert I think.

I have an XT70 and an XLT. The XT70 seems to be a better detector, gets better depth with the 10.5 DD compared with a 12" Hot Shot on the XLT and lighter weight. The XLT picked up hot rocks like a very good signal, the XT70 will hit on hot rocks but I can tell what it is as the signal will break up. Hope that helps a little and HH, Mike

Wow, I am glad I found this site . It sure is nice to get some honest info, I think I am going to go with the XT70
