X-terra 50 coils

I have the stock coil on my detector now , but thinking of buying another coil. I have an x-terra 50 and was wondering what yall are using on yours and what you recommend. I live in Kentucky and hunt in occasional trashy areas. I might need two extra coils. Please help me.

Have you checked the FAQFAQ for possible coils selection help? So much depends on your type of soil and what type of hunting you will be doing.

I will mostly coin hunt at old sites.

With the X-50, I'd recommend the 6-inch DD at 18.75 kHz. Being a DD coil, it helps "neutralize" the ill effects of mineralization. And, the DD design will separate targets better than a concentric. For coin shooting at old sites with the X-50, the 6-inch DD is tough to beat. JMHO Randy
