X-terra 30 gone nuts

JohnnyTh

New member
Hi

This is my first post here, as i finally found my activation mail in the trash folder:)

I have a x terra 30 and yesterday i went out, and for th first time used the rechargeable batteries that i got with it. But it went nuts.

It was shutting down all the time. and some times when i turned it on again it came up with a strange display that i have never seen before.
Looks like its a more advanced model. To bad it didn't work and had to shut it off again.

Have this happened to anyone else?
Anyone have a picture of the display on a 50 and 70? Would be fun to see if it was that display i got.

Johnny

PS pls bare with me and my crappy English, I'm Norwegian

Buy some quality AA alkalines and see if the X-30 works properly. I use Panasonic or Ray O Vac and have not had any problems. We've had a few people post that their X-Terra shuts off and does weird stuff and many of them have told us that the batteries they were using were a "less than adequate" diameter or length. Just an idea. HH Randy

Good brand name batteries, will probably take care of it, battery life is good so it is a good investment Good luck=Happy Hunting:twodetecting::minelab:

It was the batteries, he changed to duracell and it was OK.

Hope he tells his story and,,, Johnny-- measure your batteries if you think it was size that matters....:twodetecting:

Aye
must have been the batteries. I tried some Duracell's and some cheep IKEA batteries and they both works perfect.

But the rechargeable bakeries was the batteries i got with the detector
Guess i should mail them and give them a warning.
