X-Terra 30 Another Question Please

First of all I want to thank you all for answering my earlier questions on the X-Terra 30, you folks are great. Well my Cibola didn't sell on eBay last night so I relisted it & hopefully it will sell this time (I reduced the price). One way or another I will get me a X-30! I have noticed from my reading that different targets can be notched out, to notch out a target does one have to reject a specific id number or is there some kind of icon that shows on the display. I know one shouldn't notch out too much or could miss the goodies. Also is the 7.5 kHz a good all around freq. (I am mainly a coin hunter). Thanks again everyone! Steve from upstate N.Y.

First 7.5KHz is a good freq for coin shooting.

You can manually notch out specific numbers, or notch them out as you find them, by taking the found junk item and waving it over the coil and hitting Accept/Reject. I like this method as it allows you to tailor/adapt the notch settings as you hunt the site. The icons(block symbols)are along the bottom of the screen and explained here:

Thanks BarnacleBill, just the info I was looking for. It says: the X-Terra will still accept the nickels and many of the gold rings , and still also accept the copper and silver coins while ignoring the tabs. That sounds good! Steve.

Steve.
If your detector doesn't sell again, then you can also list at the findmall site. If you scan down towards the bottom of the home page, you will see a Classified section that you can list it in. Just follow the instructions.

Mick Evans.[/quote] Thanks Mick for your advice. I listed it here & someone on this forum went over to eBay and bought it. I can't wait to order an X-terra 30 and try it out. Thanks! Steve
