X P Deus for small gold jewelry

New member
From what I understand if I am willing to put up with digging a lot of trash the Deus will find small gold jewelry? My detecting is mostly dry land and freash water beaches.

You will find that the Deus is about as hot as any detector you can find on these types of targets in the 18KhZ setting . . . I have found earring backs at depth that other high-end units would not even see. Gold chains are also difficult if not impossible for many detectors to see yet the Deus loves them. I have found more gold chains in the past year with the Deus than I had in the previous 5 years combined using other detectors.

The one draw back with the 18 kHz setting in say parks or schools is that you will hit can slaw so small that your pinpointer will have a hard time seeing it in the dirt pile. Since you do not have lawnmowers shopping up cans on the beach it will not be an issue but for those that are thinking about jewelry hunting on land sites, opt for the 12 kHz setting as it will be far less frustrating in areas where cans have been shredded.
