Hi Leslie, Just wanted to know ,Is there a difference from the'' 6000 pro xl'' and the'' xl pro '' or just labeling .

And yes, not the easiest detector to find at a good price.

Hello Lint, the X L Pro is the smaller box version of the 6000 X L Pro

and were produced after the 6000 X L Pro, if you are looking to buy

one then go for the small box X L Pro, and don't pay a silly price

for one.

Thanks Les, My father used to sell whites in the 80's You would think I could remember that But its funny the things that don't stay stored in the head anymore. LOL I remember when the LCD screens started coming out and people were trading in the 6000 di ,pro 6000 pro sl's ,6000 pro xl's and the pro xl's ,,,cheap .Now I wish I wold have got some off him now. O well ,live and learn. It just seems like the price is going up on them more and more. and eBay wants top dollar .

Hey leslie, what would you call a silly price? All the nice one's I see go for 500.00 and up. The last XL-Pro that was on the bay had a Buy it now price fo 625.00! or best offer. I offered him 500.00 plus shipping and he turned it down. He said he wanted at least 550.00 plus shipping! I said forget it,But the next day it was sold for that price. He said he would get it and he did!

Hi Harold, that guy asking 625 is what I call a silly price, just hang on

until you find the right one, a bit like buses, there will always be another

one come along LOL.

The 6000/DI PRO SL was the last of the 6000 series LARGE BOX models. It was replaced by the 6000 Pro XL redesigned into the small box. The 6000 Pro XL was later re-named the XL Pro ... no design changes just label changes.

Good luck finding a clean 6000 Pro XL or XL Pro at a reasonable price.
