X-70 Target Separation.

Got a few hunts under my belt with the 70 now. I am impressed with the speed at which it will detect co-located targets and ID them correctly. I have the 7.5 and 3.o concentric coils. Can't wait to get my hands on an elliptical DD to see how it works. I don't know how many coils are available for the 70. Any one here have that kind of information? I went to Minelabs website and couldn't find them.
Have a question on tracking. Do you ground balance the machine and then push track if you want to use it or do you just push track instead of going through the ground balance steps?

Thanks.

Currently, Minelab offers the 9-inch concentric coils at 3 kHz, 7.5 kHz and 18.75 kHz. They offer the 10.5-inch DD coil at 7.5 kHz and 18.75 kHz. And, they offer the 5 X 10 Elliptical DD coil at 18.75 kHz.

The Track button allows you to toggle back and forth between a set GB and the Tracking mode, which updates the GB automatically. It doesn't matter if you start out in Tracking mode or switch to it during the hunt. Once you push the Track button, it will analyze the ground rapidly for the first 3 or 4 seconds. Then, as you hunt, it will update at a slower rate. When you press the Track button again, it switches to a "locked in" GB value, based on where the Tracking mode last set it. HH Randy
