Here are few action shots of Eagle Plate and bottle found in very hard hit camp site. Most camp under modern house in photo> I hunted Field around House and made lots neat finds in past month. Today the landowner walk up to me and ask " Why Don't Hunt Front/ Backyard Around His House?? I know there would be relic left close to there house, but out of respect to landowners, I didn't ask hunt close nice lawn yard. I walked 3 feet off there driveway and My x-70 "Blew My Ears Off" with target at low 40s and only 5 inches deep, the soil is very " Funky" with burn soil from camp fire ashes and loaded with nail. To my surprise it turned out to be Eagle plate, I repaired plate since it was slightly bent. I also found 1861 Ind. Head Cent, and nice Medicine Bottle and about 1/2 dozen drop bullets. The 10.5DD 7.5 is killer coil in depth, handle most soils, and great ground coverage. If your pure X-70 Relic Hunter only, you need get 10.5DD is the best. Chuck Acton

Very cool plate! That would have got me excited to say the least. That bottle is old and in very good condition. Very good hunting, congrats, Beale.

THAT'S COOL FINDING SOMETHING THAT OLD IN A NEW HOUSING ADDITION :detecting: GH

Fantastic finds. I envy those of you who are in the south with all of those civil war finds. Looks like your hard work really paid off. It's too bad there are fewer and fewer sites to hunt as time goes by. I'm planning on getting a 10.5 DD coil next winter and am going to go out on the old Butterfield Trail in the Arizona desert. I've started my research and would love to find some nice artifacts or maybe even a pot full of old gold and silver coins. If I find the latter, most likely won't be posting about it.

Good hunting, John K
